John E. Lankenau, M.D.

“My family is the most important thing to me outside of medicine. Initially, I worked as engineer and manager of finance for an oil and gas company. I felt something was missing and I went back to school at 29.”

Dr. John Lankenau completed his undergraduate degree in engineering at the University of Colorado in Boulder. After working for seven years, he returned to the University of Colorado, where he graduated Cum Laude from the School of Medicine and completed a residency in Orthopaedic Surgery.

Dr. Lankenau continued his education and received specialized training in spinal surgery at Rancho Los Amigos in California, a highly renowned spinal injury center.

Dr. Lankenau is currently on staff at Swedish Medical Center and Porter Adventist Hospital. He is a candidate member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. His practice involves comprehensive treatment of spine conditions with special interest in spinal trauma, deformity and degenerative condition of the spine.
